Solution
The umpires shall allow a substitute fielder:
- If a fielder is wounded or ill during a competition, or for a valid reason. In all other cases, a substitution is not permitted.
- Substitutes cannot bowl or function as captain, but may act as wicket-keeper with umpires’ permission.
- A chosen player can bowl or field even if they have been replaced by a substitute before.
- Non-playing squad members of the fielding or batting team must wear a team training bib in the playing area, including between the boundary and perimeter fence, unless functioning as substitutes.
