Discounted Price = x – 10% of x 

= x – 0.10x

= 0.90x

Total Price = Discounted Price + 18% of Discounted Price

5310 = 0.90x + (0.18 × 0.90x)

5310 = 0.90x × (1 + 0.18)

5310 = 0.90x × 1.18

5310 = 1.062x

x = `5310/1.062`

x = 5000 

∴ The marked price of the article is ₹ 5000.
