A cliche is a common turn of phrase which you may or may not like, but reflects something about someone. For example: Knowledge is Power.

Characteristics of a good slogan. a single sentence, phrase or word. A longer slogan should not be too long. About half a dozen words is a good limit. The content should get to the root of the issue or express your position at the simplest yet deepest level possible. Write in block letters. Use powerful language. State a point of view clearly, concisely and without making apologies for a particular point of view. If you want a slogan for the masses, use terms understood by most. Use a quotation or some turn of phrase that may summarise some common attitude/view.
