Dear Sue,
I have made a lovely new friend, Marian, who lives next door. She is deaf and communicates with her fingers and in other ways, but we understand each other well. We enjoy playing “Schools” together. Marian is the headmistress, and I am her assistant teacher. I bring my dolls over to join her class, and we pretend to consult one another and make notes. At first, I only knew that Marian liked playing by herself, but I am glad I kept asking to play with her. She is kind and clever, and our games are much more fun together.
I hope you can meet her one day. I think you would enjoy our school game too!
