Solution
Self-Assessment Using the Four C’s
- Craving (No): I enjoy using the internet for learning, entertainment, and staying connected, but I do not experience an intense, uncontrollable urge or anxiety when I am away from my devices.
- Control (No): I am able to manage my screen time effectively. I use digital timers and structured daily schedules to ensure that my internet use does not interfere with my studies, sleep, or physical activities.
- Compulsion (No): I do not feel driven to browse or stream compulsively. When I know it is time to log off such as during study hours or before bedtime I can easily put my phone away without feeling distressed.
- Consequence (No): I have not experienced any negative physical effects (like severe eye strain or sleep deprivation) or psychological effects (like social isolation or anxiety) due to my internet usage, as I maintain a healthy balance.
Since I answered ‘No’ to all four criteria, my internet usage is not a matter of concern.
