Medieval means “middle age” (from Latin medi– “middle” + aevum “age”). It denotes the historical period between ancient and modern times,roughly the 5th–15th centuries in Europe,marked by feudal societies, strong Church influence, and transition from Roman collapse to the Renaissance.
