Basis Pollution Pollutant
Definition It is the process or condition in which the environment becomes contaminated, making it unsafe for living organisms. It is the actual substance, chemical, or agent that is introduced into the environment to cause harm.
Nature Pollution represents the overall degradation or state of environmental quality. Pollutants are the physical materials or factors (e.g., gases, plastics, sewage, noise).
Cause & Effect Pollution is the final effect resulting from the accumulation of harmful substances. Pollutants are the direct cause or trigger behind environmental damage.
Examples Air pollution, Water pollution, and Soil pollution. Plastic waste, Carbon Monoxide, Lead, and untreated industrial chemicals.
