Basis Data Information
Definition It consists of raw, unorganised, and unclassified facts, numbers, or characters collected from the real world. It is data that has been processed, organised, and structured into a meaningful form.
Nature Data is unorganised and does not carry any clear meaning or context on its own. Information is organised, clear, and provides immediate context or meaning.
Stage It is the primary input stage in any geographical or statistical study. It is the final output stage obtained after processing the input data.
Example A list of random rainfall numbers like 120, 80, 45, and 110 (without units or location). “The average annual rainfall of Mumbai is 120 cm,” which makes the numbers useful.
