There are two types of polysaccharides:
- Homopolysaccharides: It contains same type of monosaccharides. E.g. Starch, glycogen, cellulose.
- Heteropolysaccharides: It contains two or more different monosaccharides. E.g. Hyaluronic acid, heparin, hemicellulose.
