From the Lyceum Theatre, Mary, Sherlock Holmes, and Dr Watson departed in a horse-drawn carriage. A short, dark figure joined them and led them through the residential neighbourhood. They reached Major Sholto’s home after a lengthy drive; it was a subpar, badly kept home in a secluded neighbourhood.
