Solution

Mass of the vehicle (m) = 1500 kg

Acceleration(a) = -1.7m/s2

Since F = ma

= 1500 × (-1.7)

= -2550N

Therefore, the force between the vehicle and the road is 2550N, which acts opposite to the direction of motion of the vehicle.
