a. In ∆ABD and ∆ACD,
AD = AD ...(Common)
AB = AC ...(Given)
BD = CD ...(D is mid-point of BC)
b. Yes, by using (a) part, we get
∆ABD ≅ ∆ACD ...(SSS criterion)
