Solution
Radius of a hemisphere = Radius of the cylinder
Height of the cylinder (h) = 13 − 7 = 6 cm
Capacity of the vessel = Volume of the cylinder + Volume of the hemisphere
=`pi"r"^2"h" + 2/3 pi"r"^3`
= `pi"r"^2("h" + (2"r")/3)`
= `22/7 xx 7 xx 7 (6 + (2 xx 7)/3)`
= `22 xx 7 xx ((18 + 14)/3)`
= `22 xx 7 xx 32/3"cm"^3`
Capacity of the vessel = 1642.67 cm3
