Solution

  1. Sugarcane reproduces by vegetative propagation, mainly through its stem cuttings.
  2. Advantages of the vegetative propagation method  are:
    • It helps in the rapid multiplication of plants in a short time.
    • The new plants produced are genetically identical to the parent plant and retain desirable characteristics.
  3. Plants reproduced by the vegetative propagation method are potato, ginger, rose, bryophyllum, etc.
  4. Regeneration is not possible in all animals because most animals have highly specialised and complex body cells and tissues. These cells cannot divide and reorganise to form a complete new organism.
