Mumbai, 2nd October, 2019
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, our school organised a Swachh Bharat Mission-themed event. The program sought to raise awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among students and the local community.
The program began with a special assembly that emphasised Gandhiji’s vision of a clean India. Students created colourful posters with inscriptions like “Cleanliness is Next to Godliness” and “Keep Your Surroundings Clean” These posters were placed in the surrounding community to spread the word. The students also led a parade, raising banners and encouraging residents to keep the area clean.
Later, students actively participated in cleaning the school grounds and environs. They collected litter and made sure waste was disposed of properly. The public was asked to cooperate and help make the mission a success.
The programme was a suitable tribute to Gandhiji and motivated everyone to make cleanliness a daily habit.
