Solution

Given:

Moment of force (Torque, τ) = 90 N m

Maximum force (F) = 150 N

Formula:

Moment of force = Force × Length of the lever

τ = F × d

90 = 150 × d

d = `90/150`

d = 0.6 m

Converting to centimeters:

d = 0.6 × 100 = 60 cm

The length of the lever should be 0.6 m (or 60 cm).
