∴ Total number of outcomes = 26
We know that there are 5 vowels and 21 consonants in English alphabets.
∴ Total number of favourable outcomes = 21
∴ Probability that the chosen letter is a consonant = `"Total number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of outcomes"=21/26`
