Given: Height of kite = 30 m, angle between string and horizontal = 30°.

Step-wise calculation: Let the length of the string = L.

1. In the right triangle.

sin 30° = `"Opposite side"/"Hypotenuse"`

= `30/"L"`

2. So, L = `30/(sin 30^circ)`

= `30/(1/2)`

= 60 m

Length of the string = 60 m.
