Herbarium Art Activity

For this activity, I collected a few fallen flowers and leaves from my neighbourhood. I carefully placed them between the folds of a newspaper and kept some heavy books on top of them.

After a week, the flowers and leaves became dry and flat. I arranged them neatly on a sheet of thick paper and made a greeting card with a floral design.

This activity helped me understand how plant samples can be pressed and preserved. It was also an enjoyable way to create useful artwork from natural materials without harming living plants.
