Mass of X in the given compound =24 g
Mass of oxygen in the given compound =64 g
So total mass of the compound =24 + 64 = 88 g
% of X in the compound = `24/88 xx100` = 27.3%
% of oxygen in the compound = `64/88 xx100` =72.7%
