Dear Sir,
The city recently conducted a book fair. Your newspaper provided wide and quality coverage of the book fair. The book fair drew a large crowd, including many students. The publishers are pleased with the positive response from the public.
Despite the prevalence of the internet, it’s amazing that people still enjoy reading books. Going to a book fair with enthusiasm is quite impressive. I also attended the book fair. Initially, I didn’t anticipate a large number of people at the book fair, given the decline in book reading and the rise of e-books. Once entering, I noticed a sense of enthusiasm among the crowd. The arrangements were all perfect. The people were knowledgeable and recommended books based on the readers’ interests. Various books covered a variety of topics.
After seeing this, I believed that people should understand that the value of reading from a book in your hand has not diminished. The different smell of each book is unique and cannot be found in an e-book.
I would want to draw the organisers’ attention to the need to hold similar book fairs in other cities throughout the state by using your prestigious newspaper’s column.
Yours sincerely,
Navtej
