Solution

Given:

Mass of the body (m) = 2 kg

Velocity (v) = 5 m/s

Radius of the track (r) = 1 m

Formula:

Centripetal Force (F) = `(mv^2)/r`

= `(2 xx (5)^2)/1`

= 2 × 25

= 50 N

The required centripetal force is 50 N.
