Solution

Equate corresponding entries

a3 = −27   ...(i)

a2 = 9   ...(ii)

Solve the equations,

From equation (i)

a3 = −27

a = `root3 (-27)`

a = −3

From equation (ii)

a2 = 9

a = `sqrt9`

a = ±3

Find the common value,

The value of aaa that satisfies both equations is:

a = −3
