Solution

Length of the train = 150 m

Constant velocity of the train = 12.5 m/s

The time taken to cross the bridge of length 850 m

The equation of motion is y = 12.5x – 150

To find the time taken to cross the bridge of length 850 m,

Put y = 850

850 = 12.5x – 150

12.5x = 850 + 150 = 1000

x = `1000/12.5`

= `10000/125`

= 80 sec
