`-5/3`, x and `(-3)/5` are three consecutive terms of a G.P.

∴ `x/(−5/3) = (−3/5)/x`

⇒ `x^2 = −3/5 × −5/3`

⇒ x2 = 1

⇒ x = `sqrt1`

= ± 1
