Hello Rahul,

How are you? I’m doing well. I received a call from your mother the other day. She sounded upset. She is worried that you are studying for 14 hours a day and that it will take a toll on your health. For a second, I didn’t believe her. You could hardly ever study for two hours at a time! But when I realised that she was not exaggerating, I was truly surprised.

Let me tell you something. Your board exams are near and you cannot afford to fall sick. I understand that these are your board exams and that you cannot take them lightly. But studying for 14 hours a day, is not the answer. You need to create a balance between your studies and your free time. Pursuing your hobby, taking up a sport, or simply going out to get some fresh air will really help you a lot. It is important to give your mind some rest. If you keep filling it with chapter after chapter, it may not be able to remember all of it. Instead, it is better to take small breaks in between, so that your mind has the time to process whatever you’ve studied. You need to relax and be stress-free before your exams, because stress is not good for your grades.

I hope that you listen to my advice and don’t be so harsh on yourself. I wish you all the best for your exam. I know that you will pass with flying colours. Hope to see you soon. Take good care of yourself.

Yours lovingly,
Rohit
