\[x + y + 40° = 180° (\text{ angle sum property of a triangle })\]
\[x = 180°- (112° - 40°) = 28°\]
\[\text{ Bottom left vertex } = 180°- 112°= 68°\]
\[ \therefore z = x = 28° (\text{ alternate angles })\]
