- Cell membrane- It is the outer membrane of the cell, it is selectively permeable so which allows only selected material to pass through it.
- Cytoplasm- It is a semi-fluid matrix and occupies the volume of the cell. It contains various materials which are necessary for the continuation of life as well as various chemical reactions that occur in it to keep the cell in a living state.
- Genetic material- Both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells have genetic material. It is responsible for the carrying of hereditary characters from one generation to another.
