उत्तर
To obtain hydrogen using:
Steam: Metals above [H] in activity series of metals, i.e. Zn, Fe and Pb react with steam and form corresponding oxides.
\[\ce{3Fe +\underset{\text{Steam}}{4H2O}⇌\underset{\text{[Magnetic oxide of iron] or [Trionr tetroxide]}}{Fe3O4 + 4H2}}\]
\[\ce{Zn + H2O -> \underset{Zinc oxide}{ZnO} + H2}\]
Metals below [H] do not react even with steam. Metal are Cu, Hg, Ag, Pt and Au.
