Kaas Plateau is also called as the ‘valley of flowers’ of Maharashtra. It is famous across the world due to the wild flowers that grow there for a short period of time and lay a colourful carpet on the ground. It is indeed a sight to behold. Apart from the numerous varieties of wild flowers (some of which are common to Kaas Plateau only) this biodiversity site is also a home to many animals, insects and beautiful birds. - Best time to visit:

Just beyond the Kaas plateau is the beautiful Kaas Lake. Surrounded by mountains and hills on all sides, this lake is one of the most lovely places around. A few steps away from the Kaas village, there is a mud-road that goes to the Vajrai Waterfall. The panoramic view of the valley, the waterfall, and the low floating clouds there create a magical experience.
