उत्तर

he angle of reflection is 500, in accordance with the first law of reflection, which states that the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
Here, the angle of incidence = 90o - 40o = 50o( the angle of incidence is the angle between the incident ray and the normal).

A 50 cm tall object is at a very large distance from a diverging lens. A virtual, erect and diminished image of the object is formed at a distance of 20 cm in front of the lens. How much is the focal length of the lens?

A small object is placed 150 mm away from a diverging lens of focal length 100 mm.

An object forms a virtual image which is 1/8th of the size of the object. If the object is placed at a distance of 40 cm from the convex mirror, calculate:

  1. the position of the image
  2. the focal length of the convex mirror.
