Critical understanding of the information received through Mass Media: 

  • Any information gathered from the media should be properly analyzed. Media reports or information might not always be completely accurate. We have to thoroughly check it.  
  • In Germany, there is a well-known instance of false information being in print. A number of supposedly handwritten diaries of Adolf Hitler were purchased by the German weekly magazine Stern. They were sold to numerous publishing companies. After the authenticity of the diaries was confirmed, the news was published in print. Later it was discovered that those diaries were fake. 
  • This illustration demonstrates the necessity for extreme caution when it comes to media information.
