National Kannada Education Society (NKES), a 75 plus year old educational Institution started Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management studies and research (SVIMS) which offers a 2 year full time AICTE approved, MMS program affiliated to Mumbai University. The Governing Council of SVIMS, is headed by Justice B.N. Srikrishna and include Jaithirth (Jerry) Rao, Ms Kamala, Vice President, NSE of India, Mr. Madhusudan Mandyam, CEO, Virgin Mobile India, Mr. Ravi Malani, Director, Barclays Wealth India, Mr. Jairaj Hegde, CEO, Sherwin Williams I P Ltd, and other senior academicians from IIT, VJTI, UCT etc to provide a stimulating ecosystem for guidance and support. The SVIMS campus at Wadala West, in the heart of Mumbai city, has a state of art, corporate styled Infrastructure. Armed with a Wi-Fi campus and a well equipped library that includes latest national and international journals, it also has E-learning support from EBSCO, CRISIL database of industries, Market Value Xenius database etc to supplement information to students beyond the curriculum as prescribed by University of Mumbai.
