Solution

The terms are given:

2, `5/2, 3, 7/3,......`

t2 − t1 = `5/2 - 2 = (5 - 4)/2 = 1/2`

t3 − t2 = `3 - 5/2 = (6 - 5)/2 = 1/2`

t4 − t3 = `7/3 - 3 = (7 - 9)/3 = -2/3`

∵ The difference between two consecutive terms is not constant.

Hence, the given sequence is not an A.P.
