Solution

Among He, Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe, xenon (Xe) is the most easily liquefiable gas. This is because:

  1. Noble gases have only weak van der Waals forces between atoms.
  2. These forces increase as atomic size increases down the group.
  3. Xenon has the largest atomic size among these gases.
  4. Hence, it has stronger van der Waals forces.
  5. Stronger forces mean Xe atoms attract each other better, making liquefaction easier.

Therefore, the tendency to liquefy increases from He to Xe, with Xe being the easiest to liquefy.
