Solution
Add a tiny bit of dil. Add sulphuric acid to manganese dioxide and copper oxide, then slowly heat. The copper oxide reacts to create a blue copper sulphate solution. The manganese dioxide produces a colourless solution.
\[\ce{Cu2O + H2SO4 -> \underset{Blue}{CuSO4} + H2O}\]
\[\ce{2MnO2 + 2H2SO4 -> \underset{Colourless}{2MnSO4} + 2H2O}\]
