0.02 moles of pure MnO2 is heated strongly with conc. HCl. Calculate the mass of chlorine gas formed.

Solution
1 mole of Cl2 weighs = 35.5 x 2 = 71 g
So, 0.02 mole will weigh = 71 x 0.02
= 1.42 g
