Solution
Lime water to calcium bicarbonate
When CO2 is passed it turns milky.
Step I: \[\ce{Ca[OH]2 + CO2 -> \underset{\text{Cal.carbonate(insoluble)}}{CaCO3↓} + H2O}\]
Step II: On passing excess of CO2, soluble HCO3 is formed and miliness disappears.
CaCO3 + H2O + CO2 → Ca[HCO3]2
