Solution

We have,

Bricks with dimensions 15 cm by 9 cm by 5 cm

And wall of dimension 18 m by 0.5 m by 3 m

Now we know that,

Volume of a cuboid = (Length) × (Breadth) × (Height)

Then, the volume of one brick = (15)(9)(5) = 675 cm3

And the volume of the wall = 180.53 = 27 m3

= 27000000 cm3   ...[Since 1 m3 = 1000000 cm3]

Then, the number of bricks = `"Volume of the wall"/"Volume of a brick"`

= `27000000/675`

= 40000

Therefore, the number of bricks required is 40,000.
