Respected Principal, esteemed teachers, and my fellow students,

Good morning to you all.

Today, we gather here to celebrate Teacher’s Day, a day dedicated to those who shape our lives, ignite our imagination, and guide us toward a brighter future. A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who imparts good values and turns students into responsible citizens.

As we reflect on the multifaceted role of a teacher as highlighted in image_5aa167.png, we realise how monumental their influence is. In these times, when the world has been shaken by the pandemic, and work has condensed into a single device, our teachers have emerged as the real heroes of our lives. They have quickly become techno-savvy, doing more than double the work they were accustomed to in pre-COVID times to ensure our learning never stops.

In the classroom, they wear many hats. They are:

• Planners and Curriculum Designers: They meticulously prepare for our success.
• Assessors: They provide the constructive feedback we need to grow.
• Counsellors, Mentors, and Motivators: They support us when we are troubled or lose hope.
• Facilitators, Leaders, and Actors: They make complex subjects come alive through their storytelling, passion, and ability to be tough when it is required.

To all our teachers: you are role models in the truest sense, and we deeply appreciate the endless patience, effort, and dedication you pour into us every single day. To sum it all up, teaching is truly the profession that creates other professions.
