Zinc nitrate reacts with ammonium hydroxide solution to produce a white precipitate. This white precipitate dissolves in excess ammonium hydroxide. Lead nitrate interacts with ammonium hydroxide solution to produce a white precipitate. This white precipitate does not dissolve in excess ammonium hydroxide.
