Question
Cost of Sugar (C12H22 O11) is Rs 40 per kg; calculate its cost per mole.
Advertisements
Solution
Gram-molecular mass of 1 mole of Sugar = 12 (C) + 22 (H) + 11 (0)
= 12 (12) + 22 (1) + 11 (16)
= 144 + 22 + 176
= 342 g
= 0.342 Kg
Cost at the rate of ₹ 40 per kg
= 0.342 x 40
= ₹ 13.68
