Solution

Let the complement of the required angle measures x°

Therefore, the required angle becomes 5x°

Since, the angles are complementary, thus, their sum must be equal to 90°.

Or we can say that :

`x + 5x = 90°`

`6x =  90°

`x = (90°)/6`

` x  = 15°`

Hence, the required angle becomes: 

5x =5(15°)

= 75°
