Solution

Here, radius (r) = 7 cm and height of a cone = 3.5 cm

∴ Volume of the solid = Volume of hemisphere + Volume of a cone

= `2/3 πr^3 + 1/3 πr^2h`

= `2/3 xx 22/7 xx (7)^3 + 1/3 xx 22/7 xx (7)^2 xx 3.5`

= `1/3 [2156 + 539]`

= `1/3 xx 2695`

= 898.33 cm3
