Given:

Height of kite from ground = 40 m

String makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal

Finding Length of the string

Step 1: Use sine function

= sin(30°) = `"Height"/"Length of string"`

= `1/2 = 40/"Length of string"`

= Length of string = 40 × 2

= 80 m
