उत्तर
Let x be the digit at ten's place and y be the digit at unit's place.
Then, the number is 10x + y.
Number obtained by reversing the digit = 10y + x
According to given information, we have
(10x + y) + (10y + x) = 110
⇒ 11x + 11y = 110
⇒ 11(x + y) = 9
⇒ x + y = 10 ....(i)
Also, x - y = 2 ....(ii)
Adding eqns. (i) and (ii), we get
2x = 12
⇒ x = 6
⇒ 6 + y = 10
⇒ y = 4
∴ Required number
= 10x + y
= 10 x 6 + 4
= 60 + 4
= 64.

For solving pair of equation, in this exercise use the method of elimination by equating coefficients :
2x − 3y − 3 = 0
`[2x]/3 + 4y + 1/2` = 0
If 2x + y = 23 and 4x - y = 19; find the values of x - 3y and 5y - 2x.
If 10y = 7x - 4 and 12x + 18y = 1; find the values of 4x + 6y and 8y - x.
Solve :
`[ 7 + x ]/5 - [ 2x - y ]/4 = 3y - 5`
`[5y - 7]/2 + [ 4x - 3 ]/6 = 18 - 5x`
Solve the following pairs of equations:
`(2)/(x + 1) - (1)/(y - 1) = (1)/(2)`
`(1)/(x + 1) + (2)/(y - 1) = (5)/(2)`
`(3)/x - (2)/y` = 0 and `(2)/x + (5)/y` = 19, Hence, find a if y = ax + 3.
