प्रश्न
The density of water is 1.0 g Cm-3. The density of iron is 7.8 × 10″3 g Cm-3. The density of mercury is 13.6 g Cm-3.
Ans the following:
Will a piece of iron float or sink in water?

उत्तर
Density of water = 1.0 g/cm3
Density of iron = 7.8 × 103 g/cm3 = 7800 g/cm3 (which is much greater than 1.0 g/cm3)
Since iron is much denser than water, A piece of iron will sink in water.
