प्रश्न
Solve the following equation by factorization
3x2= x + 4
Advertisements
उत्तर
3x2 = x + 4
⇒ 3x2 – x – 4 = 0
⇒ 3x2 – 4x + 3x – 4 = 0
⇒ x (3x - 4) + 1 (3x - 4) = 0
⇒ (3x - 4) (x + 1) = 0
Either 3x - 4 = 0,
then 3x = 4
⇒ x = `(4)/(3)`
or
x + 1 = 0,
then x = -1
Hence x = `(4)/(3), -1`.
