उत्तर

In ΔNSR

MQ = `(1)/(2)"SR"`
But L is the mid-point of SR and SR = PQ   ...(sides of a parallelogram)

MQ = `(1)/(2)"PQ"`
MQ = PM = LS = LR
Therefore, M is the mid-point of PQ.

ABCD is a quadrilateral in which P, Q, R and S are mid-points of the sides AB, BC, CD and DA (see the given figure). AC is a diagonal. Show that:

  1. SR || AC and SR = `1/2AC`
  2. PQ = SR
  3. PQRS is a parallelogram.

In a triangle, P, Q and R are the mid-points of sides BC, CA and AB respectively. If AC =
21 cm, BC = 29 cm and AB = 30 cm, find the perimeter of the quadrilateral ARPQ.

In Fig. below, M, N and P are the mid-points of AB, AC and BC respectively. If MN = 3 cm, NP = 3.5 cm and MP = 2.5 cm, calculate BC, AB and AC.

BM and CN are perpendiculars to a line passing through the vertex A of a triangle ABC. If
L is the mid-point of BC, prove that LM = LN.

D and F are midpoints of sides AB and AC of a triangle ABC. A line through F and parallel to AB meets BC at point E.

  1. Prove that BDFE is a parallelogram
  2.  Find AB, if EF = 4.8 cm.

In trapezium ABCD, sides AB and DC are parallel to each other. E is mid-point of AD and F is mid-point of BC.
Prove that: AB + DC = 2EF.

In parallelogram ABCD, E and F are mid-points of the sides AB and CD respectively. The line segments AF and BF meet the line segments ED and EC at points G and H respectively.

(i) Triangles HEB and FHC are congruent;
(ii) GEHF is a parallelogram.

In AABC, D and E are two points on the side AB such that AD = DE = EB. Through D and E, lines are drawn parallel to BC which meet the side AC at points F and G respectively. Through F and G, lines are drawn parallel to AB which meet the side BC at points M and N respectively. Prove that BM = MN = NC.
