उत्तर

Because dogs have multiple births, several eggs develop and are birthed together. If the egg is fertilised, it will implant in the uterine wall. Dogs have litters about nine weeks after fertilisation, and the gestation period can last anywhere from 56 to 72 days. A typical litter contains approximately six puppies, though this number can vary greatly depending on the breed of dog. On this basis, a female dog’s ovary produced 6 eggs, resulting in the birth of 6 puppies.
